Expedition
Description
The expedition for the Andrea Doria will depart from Point Judith,
Rhode Island on Friday, August 1 at 1 am and return to Point Judith on Sunday,
August 3 at 5 pm. Directions to the marina will be provided when
available.
All
expedition members must report to the boat on Thursday, July 31 by 10 pm.
Dives will be conducted from the John Jack, a 55' custom dive
vessel inspected for passengers.
The vessel is complete with bunks, galley and head for use by all expedition
members.
This expedition includes all meals (light breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well
as
air-top fills from the boats compressor, if needed.
Divers
may plan up to 5 dives. For specific questions regarding equipment
requirements or rentals, contact us. For special diet
restrictions/considerations notify us as soon as possible and we will do our
best to accommodate your needs.
Expedition
Fees and Policies
The price
for the 2003
expedition is $1100.00
Includes: all meals,
air
fills.
Fuel
prices at the time of expedition may warrant a fuel surcharge, which would
not exceed $30 per diver.
A
non-refundable deposit of $600.00 is due upon reservation.
Balance of $500.00 is due on
May
31,
2003
Refund Policy:
In the
event
of
a complete
cancellation
due
to
weather,
Northern
Atlantic
Dive
Expeditions,
Inc.,
will
issue
a refund
totaling
the
cost
of the
trip,
minus
a flat
fee
of
10%
($110)
for
administrative
and
food
costs.
Additional fees will be collected on behalf of the John Jack for boat dockage and fuel costs totaling $200 per diver. For questions about John Jack policies, contact them directly.
In
the
event
that
the
destination
is
changed
as
a result
of poor
weather,
a price
adjustment
will
be
made
based
on
the
revised
plans.
Price
adjustments,
if
applicable,
will
be
determined
at
that
time.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations up to May
31 are
accepted with forfeiture of the $600 deposit.
Cancellations following May
31
are accepted only with payment of $1100 charter fare.
Liability Release:
Divers must have had a physical exam within one year of the expedition which
deems him/her fit for
diving. The
Andrea
Doria
lies
190
feet
below
the
surface,
with
maximum
depths
in excess
of
250
feet.
Divers
must
be
prepared
for
cold
water
decompression
diving,
in
limited
visibility
and
current.
In
order
to
participate,
divers
meeting
criterion
must fill out "Diver
Data
Sheets"
with pertinent medical
histories detailed and
provide
photocopies
of
his/her
first
and
highest
certification
cards.
In addition,
all divers must have DAN or
equivalent accident insurance.
All
divers
must
hold
appropriate
certifications
based
on
his
or
her
dive
plans. All divers must fill out and return notarized liability release
waivers no later than May
31,
2003.
These waivers will be provided upon reservation.
No
waivers,
no
diving.
No
exceptions.
