Two pieces - each half of the hull. On the left you are looking at the balsa core after being bonded to the hull.
At right, the final layers of fiberglass laminate over the core.
The hull is then joined and seamed with over 40 layers of various size and cut pieces of fiberglass.
The top is positioned over and sized before it is fiberglassed to the hull after it is "hatched" from the mold.
