Eligibility and Restrictions:

To be eligible for Gauntlet Privateer (GP) status, a diver must earn his or her "Letter of Marque."  To do so, the diver must have:

• Participated in at least 10 commercial charters aboard Gauntlet to earn 10 points

• One credit is earned per charter for a maximum of 10 points, which results in a "Letter of Marque."  Points that are earned during the previous year are applied to the following year. For example, 10 points earned in 2008 will result in GP status for 2009.

Definitions, Restrictions and Limitations:

• Commercial charters are defined as local charters, expeditions, exploration dives and special trips in which there is a fee for service

• Only 1 point can be earned per individual per charter (i.e. if you charter the whole boat you do not receive 6 points; you only receive one point)

• Cancelled reservations will count towards GP status only if the reservation was paid for in full (i.e. if you find a replacement, you do not receive a point for having been on that charter. If you pay for the charter, but do not go, then the charter will count towards GP status and a point will be earned.)

• Instructors who are receiving the instructor discount will not earn GP points for those charters

• Crew cannot earn GP points unless acting in the capacity of a paying customer for a given charter

• Points will not be earned for charters cancelled due to weather or mechanical problems with the boat

Benefits:

Divers who achieve GP status will pay a discounted rate on local half-day charters

For example, for 2008 the following benefit will apply: the 2008 local half-day charter rate is $70. GPs will pay a discounted rate of $65.

The GP discount only applies to local half-day charters and as such, the following types of charters** are specifically excluded:

• Full or 3/4 day charters

• Non-local charters

• Overnight charters

• Any charter where food is included in the price

**Note: Customers will still receive points for participation on all commercial charters, but the GP status discount may only be applied to local half-day charters.

• GAUNTLET PRIVATEERS will receive 10% off all training conducted through Northern Atlantic Dive Expeditions, Inc.

• Opportunity to book in advance of the general public for special trips

• Opportunity to be among the first divers on new, unexplored shipwrecks.

Terms of Participation:

Northern Atlantic Dive Expeditions and GAUNTLET reserve the right to terminate this program at any time and for any reason. Northern Atlantic Dive Expeditions and GAUNTLET also reserve the right to modify the terms of participation and benefits at any time and for any reason. Divers who allow their GP status to lapse in a given year will not be eligible for GPDP benefits in the following year.
